Prodrive Advanced Technology design, develop and produce solutions that enhance our client’s projects and solve their technical challenges. We specialise in active aero systems, intelligent interiors and niche vehicles across automotive, aerospace, defence and marine sectors. Our capabilities span across a wide range of functions including system integration, design engineering, electronics and electrical systems, and chassis engineering.

We are seeking a skilled and adaptable Verification & Validation (V&V) Test Engineer to support the testing and validation of systems and products across both lab environments (rigs, test cells) and test centres (proving grounds, facilities, or external labs). The role requires taking requirements, developing them into robust test cases, preparing and executing tests, capturing data, and delivering actionable feedback to project teams. You will work across a variety of environments, from controlled laboratory tests to field-based evaluations, requiring strong practical problem-solving skills, data acquisition expertise, and adaptability. The role may also involve international travel to support testing campaigns, certification, and homologation activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Requirements Translation & Test Planning
    • Interpret product, system, or component requirements into structured test cases and procedures.
    • Define test setups, instrumentation, and data acquisition needs.
    • Support the booking of facilities, rigs, or proving grounds to ensure availability and readiness.
  • Instrumentation & Data Acquisition
    • Specify, configure, and operate instrumentation and DAQ systems for rig, lab, or field-based testing.
    • Ensure calibration, accuracy, and reliability of all measurement systems.
  • Test Preparation, Logistics & Execution
    • Coordinate transportation and availability of parts, systems, or vehicles for testing, ensuring correct specification and quality on arrival.
    • Prepare rigs, test setups, and systems for validation activities.
    • Execute tests in lab or field environments, adapting methods where required.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting
    • Capture and process test data, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
    • Produce structured test reports detailing methodology, results, and recommendations.
  • Certification & Homologation Testing
    • Support certification and homologation test activities across relevant standards and markets.
    • Liaise with external test houses and certification partners during campaigns.
  • Global Testing Support
    • Support both local and international testing activities, with travel commitments of up to 3 weeks when required.

Who are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Aerospace or related Engineering discipline, with hands-on experience in validation and testing at system, component, or product level. You will have strong knowledge of instrumentation, test rigs, and data acquisition systems and the ability to translate requirements into test procedures and setups. Experience in logistics and test preparation, including managing delivery of test articles is essential, along with exposure to certification or homologation testing processes and excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. A strong communicator, you will have the ability to deliver both fast-turnaround feedback and formal reports. Willingness to travel internationally for extended test campaigns is required.

What can we offer you?

  • An attractive salary which will grow in line with your ongoing development and impact
  • 25 days holiday (which increases with long service) with an opportunity to purchase up to 15 extra days
  • Training opportunities for continuing professional development
