Prodrive Advanced Technology design, develop and produce solutions that enhance our client’s projects and solve their technical challenges. We specialise in active aero systems, intelligent interiors and niche vehicles across automotive, aerospace, defence and marine sectors. Our capabilities span across a wide range of functions including system integration, design engineering, electronics and electrical systems, and chassis engineering.

We are looking for a Systems Engineer to take the lead on the Model Based Systems Engineering process, supporting our project teams and working collaboratively with the cross-functional engineering team throughout the project lifecycle, to ensure that our integrated system solutions are engineered to fully satisfy the needs of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the process to capture, analyse and decompose requirements based upon the needs of customers and stakeholders.
  • Ensure that requirements are well-defined, consistent, traceable, and that they accurately capture the desired system behaviour and functional performance.
  • Support the requirement verification and validation process where necessary to ensure that decomposed system targets are both feasible and compatible.
  • Manage changes to requirements, ensuring potential impacts across the system are understood and that any adverse consequences are evaluated and agreed.
  • Support the system design and analysis process to determine how the elements of a system should interact and function together within the overall architecture to deliver clear, objective requirements.
  • Ensure that components and subsystems are integrated effectively to create a functional and cohesive system
  • Support the planning and execution of system integration, design verification testing and management of a requirements verification traceability matrix to confirm that the engineered solution meets the requirements and performs as intended.
  • Using appropriate tools, maintain comprehensive documentation of all aspects of system architecture, requirements management & system design throughout the systems engineering V-model project lifecycle using a model based systems engineering approach.
  • Monitor both process and system performance, identifying potential opportunities and failure modes, and advising on continuous improvement to enhance performance and efficiency.

Who are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate will have a degree in Systems Engineering or related Engineering or Science discipline. You will have a proven track record of the design, development, integration and delivery of complex systems and the practical application of the Systems Engineering V-model throughout the project lifecycle. Highly-proficient in systems architecture modelling & analysis (eg: SysML), you will have significant experience of requirements management & decomposition, including requirements management toolset. Experience of safety-critical systems and associated safety standards and requirements is desirable (eg: ISO26262, ARP4754).

What can we offer you?

  • An attractive salary which will grow in line with your ongoing development and impact
  • 25 days holiday (which increases with long service) with an opportunity to purchase up to 15 extra days
