Background to the Role

Due to the continued success of the business both in established and new marketplaces, HCI Systems are looking to recruit an additional Stores Operative to join our expanding supply chain team. The role is part of a dynamic close team within a fast paced business, processing stock and completing kitting tasks ready for manufacturing, along with packaging our high-quality products ready for shipment to the customer.

The key functions of the role:
- Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager to ensure production schedule and customer delivery deadlines are maintained and advise if any issues occur well in
advance to ensure solutions can be found.
- Processing of high specification and bespoke motorsport system components.
- Interacting effectively with the MRP system for daily tasks.
- Checking deliveries and booking in stock.
- Locating stock and directly kitting materials from deliveries.
- Ensure batch traceability from point of entry through to final products by following robust systems and processes.
- Completing stock checks and cycle counts as required.
- Picking parts and kitting work orders whilst prioritising workflow and material availability
- Keeping the production schedule up to date on shortages and ensuring the manufacturing process is not affected by material shortages.
- Serving manufacturing staff at the stores counter to pick additional materials required.
- Packaging finished products to high standards in order to protect manufactured items and deliver a good first impression to the customer.
- Creating and updating relevant paperwork ensuring high levels of accuracy at all times.
- Looking to improve logistics team daily processes to save time and waste wherever possible.
- Flexible approach to working hours - a can do attitude putting the customer first to ensure customer satisfaction.

Who are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate will have worked in a similar position previously, be highly computer literate and have an eye for detail. Well organised with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, approaching each task and challenge with a can-do attitude.


Hours of work are 8.30am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
