Prodrive Advanced Technology is a performance engineering consultancy which delivers varied technical projects to different customers across a range of sectors, including; automotive, aerospace, military, research and development and marine. We accelerate understanding and take on challenges others shy away from.

We are looking for experienced Mechanical Design & Development Engineers to join our expanding team to support a variety of our current portfolio which includes a diverse range of projects, including novel suspension systems for military application, innovative aircraft seating systems, a ‘last mile’ 18 tonne electric delivery truck and the design and development of a performance EV.

Role and Experience:

• Proven experience of concept design and CAD packages, CATIA V5 preferred
• Designing and developing mechanical systems from concept to production, working on some of the most challenging and interesting projects with the latest technologies
• Completion of 3D CAD component models and 2D detail drawings of components
• Technical liaison with internal multifunctional teams, customers, suppliers and manufacturing
• Preparation of BOM’s and other project documents to fulfil project and process requirements

Our ideal candidates will have experience within a similar role and be educated to degree level or equivalent within engineering. Experience within design of vehicle under body systems, such as; suspension systems, brakes, steering, transmission, driveline, and/or hybrid systems, or other complex mechanisms and hands-on assembly/manufacturing experience would be a distinct advantage.
