The Hundred Percent Group manages the financial affairs of a private family office. It incorporates several small companies with interests that range from commercial consultancy through to the provision of aviation services. It also includes ownership of a boutique hotel group. As Senior Finance Assistant, you will oversee and process financial related transactions across the companies.

The role is predominantly focused on carrying out day-to-day book-keeping activities such as running accounts payable and receivable. You will also have the capacity and confidence to co-ordinate the financial services external providers supply, for example exploring alternative arrangements with banks, brokers, insurers, auditors etc.

It is likely you will have had previous stand-alone experience in a smaller company or group of companies where you have had responsibility of overseeing things from top to bottom.  You are likely to be AAT qualified or with equivalent experience or may even be studying towards CIMA/ACCA.

You will be an excellent communicator, comfortable with challenge and able to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.  Naturally well organised with a strong process focus you will also be versatile, so comfortable adapting to change and moving plans as and when necessary.

There could be flexibility with hours to suit the right candidate for this role.

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the owner to optimise the financial arrangements and processes across the group of companies bringing previous experience and insight to the fore.
  • Support the owner exploit business opportunities as and when they arise on all financial matters with a real focus on finding creative solutions.
  • Management of all intercompany loans, x-charges, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable.
  • Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management across the companies – including processing month-end journals including depreciation, accruals, prepayments and analysis of actuals against budget.
  • Production of management accounts and review of auditor prepared statutory accounts.
  • Management of year-end audit.
  • Process payments and bank reconciliations, code credit card statements and maintain petty cash and stock currency accounts.
  • Oversee outsourced payroll delivery.
  • Work closely with service-providers to ensure arrangements are favourable and support the business priorities.
  • In addition, you will also support with the private financial matters of the family so discretion and confidentiality are paramount.
