Our skilled Technicians, Mechanics, Fabricators and Engineers work together every step of the way to design, build and run elite competition cars on the track and off-road across the globe.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Planning Manager to develop the production planning processes so that the team deliver outstanding customer service, whilst optimising associated costs.  This is a pivotal role in coordinating a complex portfolio of customer products with high levels of engineering development.  Strong coordination, influencing and negotiating skills are essential in this role, alongside demonstrated production planning capability.

Key responsibilities:

  • Generate a production plan that meets customer and event timescales.
  • Review and agree the production plan with the stakeholders including Operations, Purchasing, Engineering, Event Delivery Teams, Commercial and Finance.
  • Derive long range production plan that outlines all operational costs for review and agreement with the stakeholders and CEO.
  • Manage and maintain labour projections in conjunction with the Operations Team for labour cost reforecasting and recruitment plans to be formalised and approved.
  • Support Operations with data to allow shift and space analysis to be completed.
  • Manage resulting impacts of a change to the production plan.  This will include generating scenarios for review to recover to the agreed customer delivery dates and cost budget / forecast.
  • Create and report on production plan adherence, with root cause analysis for any deviation from target.  Drive and manage actions to permanently remove issues identified.
  • Manage the logistics function to ensure goods are planned and moved from Stores to lineside on time and in the most efficient manner.

Who are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in Production Planning or Master Production Scheduling, with strong mathematical skills and a specialism in Excel. You will be commercially and financially astute, with particular emphasis on operational costs, and be able to communicate across every level of the business to influence key stakeholders to generate buy-in. You will have the ability to define and generate reports and metric dashboards, with an understanding of ERP systems and how the parameters are used to drive a production plan. IFS knowledge is particularly desirable but not essential.
