We are looking for a Lead Metrology Quality Inspector to join the team to provide inspection and CMM programming activities to a high standard and give technical support to the Inspection team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, optimise, and approve CMM programs in PC DMIS.
  • Dimensional inspection of a variety of components – often tight tolerance machined items.
  • Guide and coach other members of the department on best practice relating to measurement techniques.
  • Creation of FAIR/ISIR.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the department.
  • Professional interface with other departments.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action as required.


  • Proven background in metrology and experience inspecting a wide variety of components.
  • Completed formal training in use of PC DMIS CMM software.
  • Recognized technical engineering qualification.
  • Extensive understanding of 3D CAD, 2D engineering drawings and geometric tolerancing principles.
  • Experience within the manufacture of complex 5-axis machined components (Strongly desirable).
    • Ability to communicate at all levels technically and ability to work well in a small team.
