We are looking for a Lead Manufacturing Engineer to represent operations and coordinate manufacturing engineering support to all production programs, particularly focusing on lean manufacturing to help produce highly efficient production areas and processes.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform DFMA and PFMEA activities in conjunction with engineering
• Perform feasibility studies in conjunction with program management
• Lead manufacturing build phases, coordinating resource, components to achieve build phase milestones & deadlines
• Generate and maintain process documentation to support lean manufacturing systems
  • Create and maintain manufacturing information for production programs
  • Support Ad hoc projects as specified by the business needs
  • Support smooth day to day running of manufacturing programs
  • Liaison with buyers, engineers, internal production staff and external suppliers
  • Plan, co-ordinate activities and meet challenging deadlines
  • Ensure facilities and processes satisfy health and safety legislation requirements
  • Support the management of the image of the sites

You:

• Educated to HND level or equivalent in an Engineering discipline
• Previous manufacturing engineering experience from a vehicle manufacturing background is essential
• A background in low/medium volume manufacturing is desired
• Lean Manufacturing Green or Black Belt is desired
• Ability to prioritise work effectively
• Excellent planning skills
• Team player and motivator
