Due to sustained and growing demand on our in-house electrical loom manufacturing team, we are looking for an Electrical Inspector to join us in Banbury, providing support across our programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a fully documented Quality System for the Electrical Workshop.
  • Liaise with Engineers and Technicians with regards to workshop build standards and ensure quality/drawing conformance of all assemblies prior to dispatch to the customer.
  • Ensure all work is carried out to Prodrive standards and externally made components are fit for purpose.
  • Write Cirris test programmes and perform tests.
  • Build and maintain test leads and equipment.
  • Initial build checks including pin retention, lengths and labels.
  • Carry out and document inspection during loom builds.
  • Final inspection on all assemblies prior to despatch.
  • Install configurations into components.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and R&D for the implementation of testing procedures.
  • Design, manufacture and maintain equipment required to test all electrical assemblies.

Who are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar inspection role, and will be able to read engineering drawings and schematics. You will have excellent knowledge of electrical theory and of the operation of electronic devices, and be able to demonstrate and have practical experience in problem solving tools and techniques. You will have a flexible approach to work and be able to work calmly under pressure. Previous experience within motorsport is preferred but not essential.
