Our growing customer GT3 and GT4 motorsport business is now looking to add to the team to enhance the race performance of our cars further. 

The successfuly applicant will take responsibility for the Balance of Performance analysis of customer cars.  Communication will be one of your strengths because the role will involve direct contact with customers and senior business manager for this factory based role.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and circulate a BoP report for the main GT3 championships after each event with a thorough analysis and a BoP change request based on performance and circuit sensitivities.
  • Create and circulate a BoP report once the BoP is released for the next event detailing where the car performance is expected to be.
  • Report BoP analysis to Customer support manager to facilitate feedback to governing bodies and customers.
  • Provide factory support to GT3 and GT4 customers and customer engineers, tracking and developing systems upgrades to the highest level.
  • Create and maintain software tools to analyse and distribute critical data.
  • Develop and utilise simulation models to enhance vehicle performance.
  • Develop a BoP report analysis for customer cars.
  • Work closely with Engine and Design departments to develop performance analysis tools.
  • Vehicle simulation and analysis.
  • Specifying and/or writing relevant software. managing GT3 and GT4 software updates and factory support.
  • Validation of data.
  • Commissioning and fault finding of vehicle electrical systems.

The right candidate:

  • Good understanding of Race Car Systems and electronics.
  • Experience in extracting relevant accurate results from data.
  • Knowledge of automotive communication protocols, particularly CAN.
  • Experience in programming analysis software in one or more of C, C++, C#, VB, MATLAB and Python
  • Knowledge of PC hardware and networking to support on-car data acquisition systems.
