We are looking for a Commercial Manager to identify and secure new commercial opportunities and drive growth across the business, ensuring alignment to the business strategy. You will play a key role in assisting in the growth of the AT business, providing excellent feedback as a strong communicator on product and service market positioning and competitor analysis, with focus on big picture challenges and opportunities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist the Commercial Director with the development of a rolling 5 year sales and marketing plan for the business following quantitative analysis of both existing and potential markets for our products and services.
  • Build and maintain all key customer relationships for current and new customers.
  • Provide concise, regular management reporting of all key business metrics to the Prodrive Advanced Technology Board.
  • Negotiation of contracts to achieve commercially advantageous outcomes including contract changes, ad hoc agreements, claims and variations.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the Prodrive group’s competence and expertise to ensure client solutions benefit from the widest range of Prodrive capability.
  • Liaise closely with other Commercial Managers across the wider Prodrive business ensuring the consistent use of best practice contract and commercial techniques, supporting the development of commercial competence across the commercial community.

Who are we looking for?

Our ideal candidate will have a proven background in Business Development/Sales, preferably in a related industry. You will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience and educated to HND/Degree level in an Engineering related discipline. The ability to self-start and time-manage with a strong work ethic will be essential in this role, as well as excellent proposal writing, selling and presentation skills. A good understanding of powertrain systems (to include EV/clean energy etc), vehicle systems and sub-systems, and low volume/prototype vehicle manufacture is advantageous but not essential.
