Our current portfolio includes a diverse range of projects, including novel suspension systems for military applications, innovative aircraft seating systems, a ‘last mile’ 18 tonne electric delivery truck and the design and delivery of a new hydraulic control system for a hypercar.

We are now looking for a CNC Machinist to fully machine complex components and ensure quality and on time delivery. To work in a safe and flexible manner as part of a team with a very high level of housekeeping.

Key responsibilities:

  • Fully machine parts as required using 3-axis and 5-axis VMC’s
  • Ensure quality of parts is to the standard required
  • Ensure on time delivery
  • Ability to load offline programs and liaise with production engineer to optimise set up
  • Save all programs and set up sheets after every job
  • Assist Shift leaders and engineers with any tooling or material requirements
  • Work with minimum supervision
  • Work within a team environment
  • Safe operations of machines, tools and equipment
  • A very high level of housekeeping must be seen at all times in workshops and around machines

You:

  • Apprentice trained/NVQ’s or City and Guilds
  • Knowledge of Matsuura, DMG or Colchester machines preferable
  • A working knowledge of Heidenhain and Fanuc controls
  • Knowledge of Openmind Hypermill would be beneficial
  • Background within a small batch / prototype-manufacturing environment.
  • Preferred industry would be Motorsport, Aerospace or research and development
