Our current portfolio includes a diverse range of projects, including novel suspension systems for military application, innovative aircraft seating systems, a ‘last mile’ 18 tonne electric delivery truck and the design and delivery of a new hydraulic control system for a hypercar. Our portfolio covers engineering design solution projects that range in size and scope.

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to drive business growth within the aerospace sector by identifying and securing new commercial opportunities.

Key responsibilities:

  • To identify and develop new business opportunities with both existing customers and new
  • To drive new business growth through development of strong partnerships with all new and existing accounts, improving our understanding of individual customer requirements and how Prodrive can support them
  • Build effective networks of contacts within our identified Key Accounts
  • To build bids, ensuring relevant inputs are robust, valid and accurate.
  • To lead on negotiations with prospective clients covering cost, schedule and technical requirements (with support from the Programmes and Engineering teams)
    • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure commercial and customer focus are at the forefront of what we do.
    • To conduct Market analysis - developing relevant insights into key target sectors and building action plans to drive growth


We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager who has a proven track record working within the Aerospace sector. You will be a strong communicator, excellent at commercial negotiations, contract management and confident pitching of complex engineering solutions to a variety of high-profile businesses. In addition to your knowledge of the Aerospace industry, it would be advantageous if you have previous experience working within an Engineering Consultancy.
