We are looking for an Assistant accountant to support the finance team in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of financial operations. The role also involves ensuring compliance with financial regulations and providing valuable insights to aid decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately record all cash transactions into the cash book, ensuring all entries are up-to-date and reconciled with corresponding accounts.
• Proactively contact customers and clients to follow up on outstanding payments, ensuring timely recovery of debts and maintaining positive relationships.
• Perform detailed reconciliations of financial statements, ensuring all transactions align with supporting documentation and identifying any discrepancies for resolution.
• Uploading to invoice discounters
• Processing cash expenses
• Generate and deliver regular financial reports, providing key stakeholders with updates on financial performance and operational metrics.
• Retrieve and compile Key Performance Indicator (KPI) results from internal systems, ensuring data accuracy for reporting purposes.
• Create and maintain spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel to organise, analyse, and present financial data effectively.
• Utilise the company's in-house system (IFS) for financial data entry, analysis, and reporting; training will be provided to ensure proficiency.

Our Ideal Candidate will be part qualified in AAT / QBE / CIMA or ACCA. We need someone who is a self-starter with strong competency in IT skills including Microsoft Excel and the ability or experience of using a fully integrated accounting system is essential.
